Research

CASE's research draws attention, at both the municipal and state levels, to the social impact of proposed economic policies and projects in the Phoenix Metropolitan region.

Our research projects focus on four key objectives necessary to bring working families into the economic and community development decision-making proces.

  • Producing a broader and more accessible understanding of the governmental processes by which decisions that affect our local economy and communities are made.
  • Drawing attention to the broad impacts, positive and negative, that current and future economic policies will have on working families in the Phoenix Metro Region.
  • Identifying instances where the economic benefits and potential economic, social, and environmental hazards of specific policies or projects are shared unequally by the various communities of Central Arizona
  • Making the case for new, innovative, and environmentally sound economic development strategies that have either produced great benefit for working families in other regions or have the potential to produce such benefits here in Arizona.
